We are pretty good about allowing make-up classes, so don’t be shy if there’s a day you won’t be able to make it – we’ll catch you up during the week or in another Saturday class, if possible!

We have a new Advanced Obedience class starting Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:30pm.
This class is the transition from on lead to off lead in sit, down, stay, here, and finish commands. Class runs 8 consecutive Saturdays, and will finish up on March 20, 2010.
We are pretty good about allowing make-up classes, so don’t be shy if there’s a day you won’t be able to make it – we’ll catch you up during the week or in another Saturday class, if possible!

Practicing the down-stay indoors.
We have a Basic Obedience Class starting Wednesday January 13, 2010 at 6:30 pm! This class will run 8 consecutive Wednesdays and will end on March 3, 2010.
As with all our Basic Obedience Classes, your dog will receive a free CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Test when training is finished.
There is still room in this class, so if Saturdays are not good for you and Wednesdays are, give us a call!

I’m not sure how we overlooked adding this information, but we do have In-House training available!
So what exactly is this In-House training, you ask? And how much does it cost? The answer is really simple! You send your puppy or dog to stay at my house until the training you desire is complete!
Our most common requests are for Basic Obedience Training and Potty Training.
In-House Basic Obedience Training costs $400, for as long as it takes to train your puppy or dog. The price also includes 2 private sessions for you to learn his/her new commands and proper handling skills. All we ask is that your dog is friendly to people (adults and children) and other animals. I honestly don’t think you can find a better offer than this anywhere!
Our Potty Training is exactly that: we will train your puppy to use the bathroom outside. This training does not include any obedience training, so you may want to consider it as an add-on if your puppy is fully untrained. Cost for Potty Training is $200.

We have a new Basic Obedience class beginning Saturday, January 3, 2010 at 11:30 am!
The first class is an owner/handler only class, so please do not bring your dog! We will be doing canine personality profiles, as well as accepting payment and shot records.
We also discuss basic nutrition and steps you can take to get your dog off on the right foot even before his/her first class begins!

What better gift than a trained puppy!

Our beloved Juliet has found love with her Romeo!
Mom is an AKC Registered Rottweiler who found her neighbor “Romeo” the Pit Bull a worthy mate.
We are offering the puppies for free, and recommend either the Puppy Obedience Training for $300 (you can pick the puppy up after we’ve trained him), or opt to bring your new puppy to a Group Puppy Obedience Class for only $120. You can also opt to take your puppy elsewhere to be trained, but customers tend to tell us we offer so much more than other training facilities!
There are 5 males currently available. They have their first 5-way puppy shot and have been wormed.

Snapshot: Golden Retrievers are intelligent, family-friendly dogs. Like all dogs, training should begin early in life, and Group Puppy Class is a perfect place to begin both training and socialization!
Karen Lutz is the owner of Elite K-9 Training. She is also the founder of N.E.O.S.A.R. (North Eastern Ohio Search and Rescue), which is now the K-9 team for the Mecca, Ohio Fire Station (visit MeccaK9.com). Karen started search work with the Allegheny Valley Search and Rescue K-9 Team, then decided she wanted a team like this in her community, thus starting NEOSAR. She then hand-picked the original team members, who are no longer with the team, but have moved on to other careers with dogs, and still remain good friends to this day.
Karen trains all breeds. In addition to Basic and Advanced Obedience, she trains search dogs in Air Scenting, Cadaver, and Article Search. She offers private lessons, or you can send your dog for training. She also sells dogs that are already trained, when available, as pets or for working. She loves interacting with the owners and thier dogs.
Karen did not go to school to get a degree for training. Her knowledge comes from all the seminars, working with other trainers and dog handlers, and from learning hands-on, being in the show ring, and in the field. Karen has been around animals all her life, and believes there are some abilities that just can’t be taught. They are God given talents (or gifts).
Karen is recommended by veterinarians in her community that have known her and the work she has done. She has enjoyed training, working, and breeding Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers, and Chihuahuas.
