Elite K9 Training in Cortland, OH, along with Shelter Puppies, Inc, would like to invite you to join us at our AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day, to be held September 25, 2011 at the Mosquito Lake Dog Park.

Scheduled activities include Canine Good Citizen testing, K9 Search & Rescue demo, fun obedience games, fun dog show, a certified animal nutritionist, and pet pictures. Plans are in the works for adding Disaster Preparedness (for your pets) and Safety Around Dogs.

Joining us at the event will be “For the Dogs”, a caring dog rescue organization who saves dogs and puppies, most of them coming from the Mahoning County Dog Pound.

Come join us for a fun day at the dog park, bring your canine friends, or come and meet some new friends! We look forward to seeing you there!

This class will run 8 consecutive Saturday’s, beginning October 16, 2010 and will finish up with the CGC (Canine Good Citizen) test on December 4, 2010.

You and your dog will learn:

• Sit
• Down
• Stay (Sit-Stay and Down-Stay)
• Heel
• The Recall (Come/Here)
• Social skills in a class atmosphere
• Focusing skills with distractions

Congratulations to our Wednesday evening class for passing their CGC testing!

The CGC test is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. Both registered and unregistered (including mixed breed) dogs can be CGC tested and certified!

Our next CGC testing day is Saturday March 13, 2010.  If you would like your dog tested, give us a call!
